Who on EARTH is S&M Sally and should I be afraid?

Sally is actually a pseudonym that Jamie uses when she and Jill start going to S&M clubs together, and no – she’s very harmless!  Jamie’s a newcomer to the scene, so we get to discover it through her eyes, and laugh at her perceptions and expectations.

Who’s in the cast? Any familiar faces from Butch Jamie and Heterosexual Jill?

Yeah, there’s three returning cast members from Heterosexual Jill – Jen McPherson as Jill, Shaela Cook as Lola, and myself as Jamie, from both Butch Jamie and Heterosexual Jill.  We also have Adrian Gonzalez from the gay feature August, and Scott Keiji Takeda from the upcoming film Eat With Me.

You’re trying to raise production funds for S&M Sally on Kickstarter.  What has been your experience like in crowd-funding?

Crowdfunding has been challenging, but it coincides with the theme of S&M Sally which is going outside of your comfort zone in order to further grow and develop.  Whether or not the campaign is successful, I’ll know I’ll have at least benefited from what I’ve learned about audience building, outreach, and branding.  One thing we’ve seen is that exposure doesn’t always translate into contributions, so you sometimes have to re-think your message and figure our what it is that will really connect with your audience the most.  For me, I love the way the film tackles taboo topics in really relatable and charming ways.
