Lunch Time Poll with Laila Kharouba

Reelout & Blue Canoe Productions are proud to be co-producing Heathers The Musical, (book, music & lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Kevin Murphy) at The Baby Grand Theatre in Kingston, ON Canada.  The show runs Tuesday May 3-Sunday May 8, 2016.

Laila

Name: Laila Kharouba   Age: 21  Role: Young Republicanette

Where Have You Seen Her Before?: Imaginary Theatre Company’s Acts of Thecla (Theoclia/Tryphaena)Blue Canoe’s A Chorus Line (Diana Morales)Queen’s Musical Theatre’s Legally Blonde (Store Manager/Law Student).

Who’s Your Favourite HEATHERS THE MUSICAL character and why? I love JD. He might be a little crazy (okay maybe A LOT crazy), but he swims against the current and challenges dominant ideas! I also love Heather Mcnamara. She’s a bit silly and naive, but a nice refresher from the other (meaner) Heathers.

You win 1 million dollars the same day aliens land on earth and say they’re going to blow it up.  What are you going to do with the money? I would bribe the aliens with the money in return for them to let us live. Please don’t blow us up, that is so not ‘Very’.

If you were stranded on a deserted island with only one Heather who would it be and why? Heather Chandler. She may be mean, but she would definitely know some crazy smart way to get us off the island.

Heathers the Musical is part of The Juvenis Festival, a week-long celebration of youth and the arts in Kingston funded in part through the generosity of the City of Kingston Arts Fund. #juvy2016  Check out their website at juvenis.ca
